Domain Lookup

When searching to see if a domain name is available, pick an extension from the list below, then enter the name, the dot (.), and the extension. The "name.extension" is the "domain name".

If the domain name you want is available, click here to register so you own it. Even if you do not use your domain name now, you'll have it reserved for future use in just a few minutes.

All extensions are available: .com .us .net .org .info .biz .tv .co.uk .ca

If you're looking for a name taken at all levels, and the wizard isn't helping, you can use the name you want as the start of another domain name... instead of www. For example, you can use store.dot.ca instead of www.dot.ca. The domain will work just the same for a website at http://store.dot.ca/.

The total length of the two-part (second level.top level) name may be 2 up to 67 characters (formerly 26). The dot (.) separating the name and the extension counts as a character. The only characters allowed in a domain name are letters a-z, digits 0-9 and the dash (-). A domain name cannot begin or end with a dash. A domain name cannot include 2 dashes side-by-side (--). No spaces, no underscores, no punctuation, special or international characters. Domain names which include the word olympic or olympiad will not register without permission from the United States Olympic Committee. Do not enter www with the dot (.) at the beginning of the domain name, it will be added by your host for your website as www.yoururlhere.ca. If you want an extra www to be part of the domain name, then enter it as part of the name without spaces or dots as in www-yoururlhere.com or wwwyoururlhere.com or your-www-url.com.

.ca domains are only for Canadians, Canadian companies and owners of Trademarks registered with Industry Canada. .us domains are only for American companies and US Citizens.

If the message "cannot connect" displays, the central registry for the domain is busy. Please try again.

As we gear up for a second 15 years of service, we invite you to enjoy our many improvements
as much as we look forward to providing them...
